Ballet Showcase Company Will Perform Excerpts From Classic Ballet Pieces and Original Works
Come and see BYU’s Ballet Showcase Company as they perform a wide variety of works, ranging from classical to contemporary.
As one of two performing ballet companies at Brigham Young University, Ballet Showcase Company is an auditioned group of 20 performers who demonstrate their passion through dance.
Their upcoming concert, titled “Ballet Showcase,” “…is an incredibly demanding bill for the dancers, as they explore detailed classical ballet movement and innovative contemporary works,” said assistant company director Brooke Storheim.
Company members will perform classical ballet works such as La Bayadère and Don Quixote, as well as original choreography from dance faculty and students.
Storheim assures all potential showcase-goers, “With such a diverse program, there is something for all audience members to appreciate and enjoy.”
