Opera Legend Thomas Hampson and Luca Pisaroni Bring Their Renowned Talents to BYU

The family duo will perform pieces from Mozart, George Gershwin, Cole Porter and other adored composers

Thomas Hampson and Luca Pisaroni will bring their talents and family bond to the de Jong Concert Hall as they perform both operatic and Broadway favorites in “No Tenors Allowed.”

“In terms of operatic baritones, Thomas Hampson is a veteran of the stage who has a powerful and masterful command of every note and word he seemingly effortlessly produces,” said BRAVO! director Bridget Benton. “He is joined by his son-in-law Luca Pisarnoni — a formidable baritone in his own right.”

Hampson has recorded over 170 musical pieces with an operatic repertoire of over 80 roles. Adorned with countless honors, he is known for his dedicated stage presence and renowned ability to tell a story to audience members.

Pisaroni’s career is on the rise as he continues to build his repertoire including works from Mozart, Rossini and the Baroque era. He has established a reputation of artistry and versatility with charismatic presence complementary to Hampson’s.

The family duo will guide audiences through a range of emotions with both comedic and dramatic pieces from Mozart, George Gershwin and other beloved composers.
