Osmond joins hundreds of former Young Ambassadors and this year’s company in many of the showstopping songs and dances enjoyed by audiences around the globe over the last 50 years. Young Ambassador alumni will return to BYU from theatre companies, cruise lines, recording studios, businesses, law firms, classrooms and homes across the country. Young Ambassador alumni have performed in dozens of Broadway and national touring companies including Wicked, Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Beautiful, The King and I, Mean Girls, Bandstand, Frozen, Anastasia, Hello Dolly!, Memphis, Something Rotten!, Spamalot, Cinderella, Finding Neverland and many more. The Bonner Family, Dan Truman of Nashville’s Diamond Rio and Gentri’s Brad Robbins will also be among the many notable alums to share the stage at this landmark event.
Osmond joined the award-winning daytime show “The Talk” as a co-host in September, and recently closed the Flamingo Hotel’s Donny & Marie Show in Las Vegas after a remarkable 11-year run. As a philanthropist, she cofounded Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, which has raised over seven billion dollars to date.
Osmond has spent five iconic decades in the entertainment business performing as a successful singer, television performer and talk show host, dancer, actor, author, entrepreneur and public speaker. Her debut single Paper Roses placed her among an elite class of musical royalty and instantly catapulted her into international superstardom. She is a multiple gold and platinum-selling artist and CMA winner, garnering numerous Billboard chart-topping singles and albums and three New York Times Bestselling books. She has entertained millions throughout the world through television, radio, film, literature, live concerts and Broadway performances.
Osmond was recently awarded The Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service by four-star general Bob Brown — U.S. Army Pacific (representing Secretary of Defense James Mattis) — during her Birthday concert in Hawaii. In 2019, the Hollywood Beauty Awards presented Osmond with the Timeless Beauty Award, an honor bestowed upon a public figure who has maintained their grace and remained a positive influence and role model to their fans throughout their career.
