Living Legends Lead Audiences Through the Seasons of Life

Living Legends will perform their ‘Seasons’ show, now featuring some new dances   Living Legends will be performing on Feb. 8 and Feb. 9, bringing new dances and their same classic story to the stage. Only two years off from their 50th anniversary, the dance group remains grounded in their mission of representing their cultural and religious heritage through dance. “I’m excited for audiences to see and feel the spirit of the group,” said Janielle Christensen, the Living Legends’ director. “It’s such a powerful story that these cultures can tell the story of the Book of Mormon, and not in a preachy way. When they’re onstage, they dance for their ancestors and they feel the spirit of their ancestors. They dance because of passion and love, and wanting to pass this on.” Though so much of the group is rooted in tradition, there are some changes audiences will get to see at the concerts this year. The group will be performing a new Brazilian dance, prepared for the trip they will be making to Brazil later in the year. “It’s always exciting when we’re going to a country and they’re so excited that we’re coming that they want something of them reflected in it,” Janielle said. Tickets to the show can be purchased here.
