Ballet favorites to be performed at this semester’s Ballet Showcase
The Ballet Showcase Company presents an evening of classical and contemporary works alongside a guest performance from Theatre Ballet.
The show features a wide variety of faculty and student works, as well as excerpts from “Sleeping Beauty” and “The Nutcracker.” Theatre Ballet will also perform a piece from George Balanchine’s iconic work “Serenade.”
Ballet Showcase artistic director Hilary Wolfley has overseen the preparation and is looking forward to this semester’s Ballet Showcase debut.
“This show has a great blend of well-loved classics and innovative, fresh choreographic ideas. Tchaikovsky’s music evokes such beauty and movement for these ballets. The students have been working all semester and pushed their technicality and artistry through preparing the repertoire for this performance,” said Wolfley.
