A Spin on Sing-Alongs: Choir! Choir! Choir! Visits BYU

Perfect for those who love singing in the shower or in their cars, Choir! Choir! Choir! is an audition-free sing-along experience for everyone and anyone.

It’s time to warm up those vocal cords as BYU welcomes Choir! Choir! Choir! to the stage. On Tuesday, March 8, comedy, community and choir will become one with the group’s concert “Hallelujah: An EPIC Anthem Sing-Along.”

Choir! Choir! Choir! creators Daveed Goldman and Nobu Adilman, or “DaBu,” used their voices and vision to first create the group in 2011 and form the foundation in 2016. Audience members who attend a Choir! Choir! Choir! concert are included in the performance. The artists distribute lyric sheets to participants when they come in and soon after teach them the vocal arrangement to be sung and then recorded. Collectively, the crowd of random singers make music as one, singing songs like Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline,” Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” and Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.”

The foundation has found itself upon grand stages, having performed at Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall, National Arts Centre, Luminato Festival, TEDx Toronto and others, bringing people together through song.

Choir! Choir! Choir!’s unique spin on singing and service is surely one to take part in.
