The BYU Wind Symphony welcomes the outstanding Skyridge High School Wind Symphony and conductor Howard Summers in a joint concert celebrating an evening of musical friendship.

This year's Primrose Memorial Concert will feature violist Rita Porfiris and her duo partner, violinist Anton Miller, performing with pianist Scott Holden. The performance will include a world premiere of the Neige éternelle for Solo Viola (2023) by Veronique Vaka as well as Ernst Toch’s Divertimento, made famous by William Primrose and Jascha Heifetz.

BYU professor and renowned pianist Stephen Beus performs works by Griffes, Alkan, and Medtner.

This concert features works by living American composers Caroline Shaw, Jennifer Higdon, and Reena Esmail as well as works by French composers Olivier Messiaen, Francis Poulenc, and Maurice Ravel. Each of these composers strives to elevate and inspire through their unique voices. Come for an evening of transformative music that will resonate, soothe, and challenge.

Percussionist and Colorado State University professor Eric Hollenbeck comes to BYU for a solo recital. Hollenbeck has performed throughout the world and at over thirty universities in the United States, and he is a four-time featured performer at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention.

The American Piano Duo and American Piano Quartet combine for a thrilling evening of musical favorites. Come hear the resounding and sumptuous textures of Rachmaninoff’s Piano Suite No. 2, the patriotic fervor of “The Stars and Stripes Forever,” and much more!

Experience the virtuosity of this award-winning chamber ensemble in BYU’s new Recital Hall. Dedicated to promoting contemporary music by Mexican and Latin American composers, the Mexico City Woodwind Quintet frequently commissions and premieres new works. In addition to their performances at international music festivals, the group is also known for their commitment to educating young woodwind players through seminars and workshops.
